The wine has a deep garnet red colour. It is fruity on the nose with strong aromas of cassis, plums and a touch of violets. The tannic structure is ample and well-rounded, which assures good aging potential. This wine pairs well with game, grilled meats and rich foods and sauces. 14.5% ABV.
For the 2021 vintage this is a rich and meaty Crozes with plenty of black pepper and some wet earth character. The tannin structure is also remarkably forthright for the vintage. Appealing crispness at the long finish. Drink or hold. 91 Points James Suckling.
