The Pinotage vineyard selected for this range is a 7ha vineyard planted in Eilandia on Karoo soils. Specific canopy and irrigation management help to delay sugar ripening, while flavour development is not hampered. They manage the vineyard to have a smaller open canopy which is positive for colour and flavour development, but at the same time ensure that the acid levels are not too high.
