Trefethen Family Vineyards Dragon's Tooth 2018

This wine opens with expressive aromas of cherry and blackberry accented with notes of fig, tobacco leaf, and sarsaparilla. Full-bodied and balanced, the integrated flavours of ripe dark fruit lead to a lush and abundant finish. 49% Malbec, 27% Petit Verdot, 24% Cabernet Sauvignon. 14.6% ABV.

Based largely on Malbec blended with 27% Petit Verdot and 24% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2018 Red Blend Dragon's Tooth offers lots of smoked black fruits, toasty oak, chocolate, and darker, herbal, cedary notes to go with medium to full-bodied richness on the palate. The Petit Verdot becomes more obvious with time in the glass, and this rich, concentrated, yet elegant red blend has plenty to love.
