It is produced 94% with Nebbiolo grapes and 6% with Barbera grapes. Maceration and fermentation take place in stainless steel tanks for about 3 weeks, then the wine ages in barriques for 12 months and in barrels for a further 18 months, before being bottled. Sperss is characterised by an intense garnet red colour. The nose is complex, fine and expressive, with an excellent fruity component. In the mouth it shows a fullness of body, with a dense texture and a long finish with a pleasantly fruity persistence.
