Dessert Wine & Port
Dessert wine is usually sweet with pronounced flavour and higher alcohol content. Exceptions to this are our Reisling and Moscato. A general rule is that the wine should be sweeter than the food it is served with and dessert wines are usually served lightly chilled.
Port is a Portuguese fortified wine produced in the Douro Valley of northern Portugal. It is typically a sweet red wine, often served as a dessert wine, although it also comes in dry, semi-dry, and white varieties.
